Hi everyone
I would like to get into the habit of writing regular prayer emails so that friends and family can pray for the ministry I've involved with here in Hull and further afield. I will keep these short and to the point. Please let me know if you would like me to take you off the distribution list.
Items for praise and petition
We have recently finished our Identity course and God opened the eyes of a number of unbelievers so that they are now professing to be followers of Jesus. We will be having a public declaration of faith service for them and others on Sunday 27th June. Pray that our church family is encouraged in their mission to keep on sharing the gospel as they see examples of people God has recently brought to a living faith.
Since last September I have been leading one of our congregations that meets in a local community centre - it's called Riverside Church. We are very keen to move into the school next door. This will give us access to more meeting rooms and will make it much easier to grow our children's and youth activities. Please pray that this door of opportunity will be opened up soon.
Riverside Church are hosting their annual holiday club from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th July. Pray that a large number of youngsters will come along and that we will be able to maintain contact with them over the summer months.
I have been asked to speak at a mission being run at Sydney University. This runs for three weeks from 16th August to 5th September. Vicky will be coming with me. Pray for my preparation beforehand and for me to preach the gospel faithfully when I'm in Australia. Pray that God will use this mission to add people to his kingdom.
