This week please pray for

  1. Pray for mission partner Bridget Hathaway involved in a Community Based Social Care Programme in Tanzania.  Pray for Bridget as she says her goodbyes and leaves her current placement.  Praise God for all that He’s done through her during her time there.  Thank God for the many successful cleft lip operations.  Pray for Bridget to have a restful holiday and for her as she prepares for Home Leave.  Pray for wisdom for Bridget’s future placement.

  2. Pray for associate mission partners Hugo and Jenny Charteris who are involved in a church plant in Newcastle.  Pray for the various ‘A Passion for Life’ events that the church is putting on.  Pray for continued zeal in evangelism for the congregation.  Praise God for a new believer.

  3. Pray for associate mission partner Nerena Neathercoat, working with students in Durban, South Africa.  Continue to pray for the Friday lunchtime talks on the University Campus.  Pray that God would use these talks and the informal chats to speak into students’ hearts.

  4. Pray for NEXT volunteer Mark Foster helping with U-turn, a project working with homeless men in Cape Town, South Africa.  Thank God for the many conversations Mark has been able to have with the men coming to the soup kitchen.  Pray that a suitable replacement would be found for when Mark leaves.  Pray also for the Lord to provide work for Mark’s own business when he returns to the UK.

  5. Pray for the three SMILE gap year teams in the Gambia, Uganda and Thailand.  Pray that each person would grow in their walk with the Lord and that they would remain united in their teams.

  6. Pray for mission partners and associate mission partners who are planning their Home Leaves or are back on Home Leave.  Pray for the Lord to provide all the practical things they need during their time in the UK.  Pray for strengthening of relationships with their partner churches and individuals.
